How could you tell how many people were in the Kingdom Hall. Do they give you a view of the whole hall on the Zoom video?
No - Its just that I still know people that attend that cong so I have an idea of the usual attendance.
got a link for a zoom meeting and thought id share my experience about the mid-week meeting.. guessing about 100 - 120 in cong.. 50 on zoom, only 8 with cameras on - all elderly.
watching from a detached point of view it's so obvious at how it is nothing but a glorified sales meeting, all designed to promote the org.
inspirational videos about how everyone can/ should do more to help with projects, in particular how to look after the kingdom hall, complete with bar charts showing levels of achievement to aspire to.. interestingly, tonights book study is about alcohol..

ever since the annual meeting last october and the letter to bodies of elders stating that "exceptional young men perhaps in their early 20's could qualify for appointment as elders.." it even states this in the updated elders manual!
have any of you pimo's, pimq's, or those on here with family/friends still in hear of any young men being appointed as elders yet?
i am talking 21, 22, 23, 24 etc.
20 yr old elder goes to married couples house to provide encouragement.
Husband isnt home.
20 yr elder is seduced by hot, mature married woman

rev, 13:17and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
here is wisdom.
let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is 666.".
You can google vaccines and ditgital id and article will come up about it. It would appear from videos I have watched, that those who took the jabs can be tracked and monitored.
Heres an article I googled but it doesnt agree with you, does that still count?:
If you own a mobile phone, or use the internet you have been 'tracked and monitored' for years.
Looking back, these sorts of projects are what keeps a lot of JW's thinking they are part of something big and important.
They promote the idea of unpaid, volunteer work as a goal equivalent to working alongside God himself. For all the rest that cant volunteer, they will post regular updates so that everyone feels included.
When its done, they want all the JW's to make a pilgrimage and donate.
The whole project seems in such bad taste.
A lot of bro's are now travelling extra miles to attend meetings because somone decided that the $$$ from their fully paid off halls would be better spent on other 'kingdom interests'.
some people had a penchant for posting their topics directly into the "best of topics" area.
it seemed more than a little arrogant to me that some imagined their every utterance was immediately a greatest hit but maybe people weren't clear on what that area was intended for .... from now on you won't be able to start new topics there.
if anyone wants to submit a topic to be added there (perhaps an index to a curated list of other topics by a user or on a certain subject / theme) then just start one in "suggestions" and pm me and, if it is suitable, then i'll move it into there.. existing topics posted there recently have been moved to more appropriate areas..
Im going to put up my hand because I think I was guilty of this.
For my first post I was so nervous for even being on this site and I couldnt find a topic that I thought fitted with my post so I picked a topic I thought was generic. I figured a moderator would sort it out and put it in the right place.
the belief was jehovah/god is not the organisation when you are a member of the organisation .
when you disassociate or leave the organisation, the belief becomes jehovah/god is the organisation.
someone somewhere will tell you return to jehovah or hand you a publication that has the title return to jehovah.. .
As an elder once told me, 'to criticise the organisation is to criticise Jehovah'.
if jesus memorial meal is meant to follow on from the jewish passover celebration, would someone explain to me why the jehovah's witness community are holding their "lord's evening meal" on tuesday 4th april; when the jewish community are not holding their 2023 passover until the 5th april 2023?
doesn't this mean that the jehovahs have got their date wrong?.

Pretty sure the calculation used by jws is, 2 weeks from the first new moon after the summer equinox. If that helps.
unless you've been hibernating under a rock for the last couple of years, you're probably aware that ai is the new hotness.. chatgpt gets a lot of attention but equally amazing is how capable ai is at generating art.
if you'd been ask to name anything that would be the last holdout for humans, creative arts such as writing, painting, and music would probably be some of the things at the top of the list.. yet those seem to be the things that ai can do best.. it's fascinating to use the tools, but one thing you realize is that they are just combining patterns and shapes, there isn't yet any real "intelligence", artificial or otherwise.. as an example, you can ask it to create a painting in the style or a particular artist, with a whole raft of things you want to include.
it will do a great job on first glance, but can often give people more arms or fingers than is normal, and lamp-posts can grow to different heights, like trees.
I have played with around with it. My first thought was that for anyone that creates digital art, they have just unlocked easy mode for their creations. The only limiting factor is their imagination and how well they learn to phrase requests to get what they want.
For anyone that creates art, it's an amazing way to get what's in your head into a visual form if you want a reference pic for ideas you have. That makes it a massive time saver.
It still relies on human imagination to produce the images, so to me that makes it a valid art form. There is talk about royalties being paid to artists because their style may be used by the program in generating the piece but maybe thats just the leeches talking.
Art has always been about absorbing inspiration from other artists and producing something uniqie.
'Steal like an artist.'
